The Holiday Farm Pape:

 

The beautiful farm is located on the outskirts of the “golden*” village Granstedt, surrounded by wide open fields, heath land, woods and moor land. The farm is situated centrally between North Sea and Heide (this region in Northern Germany consists mainly of heath land), Hamburg and Bremen. The Pape Farm is a mixed farm (dairy farm with cows and calves and agriculture of cereals, corn and potatoes). Especially for the little ones, there are rabbits, a dog, several ponies, cats and sheep.

 

*(Golden refers to the title that Granstedt won in 1991 in a national competition to make villages more beautiful)

 

 

The three apartments:

 

A low energy house (ecological, natural materials, recommendable for allergy sufferer) was built in 1999 containing 3 comfortable apartments and a big community room. The beautiful apartments are built in Swedish style and all share Swedish names. “Bollerbü” is located on the ground floor, “Kattult” and “Löneberger” are both on the first floor. They are 50 m2 suited for 2-4 persons. Each apartment has a kitchen, 1-2 bedrooms, bathroom with toilet, shower and bath, and a terrace or balcony. The community room is on the ground floor. In this room there is a big traditional tile oven, bar, kitchen and toilets. If available, guests can use this community room. Please ask for details.

 

Free-time and sports:

 

Guests are welcome to use the farms facilities such as: A large lawn to relax and hang out in the summer, a sandpit, a slide, seesaw, a swing, aerial cable way, a tree house, table tennis, outdoor chess, an outdoor pool, a trampoline, bikes, skelters etc. Also belonging to the farm but 300 meters away there is a pond for fishing, pedal boat driving and there is a raft that can be used.

Very close to the farm there is a soccer field, a training circuit, and a sauna (entrance for guests is free)

Restaurants, shops, doctor and pharmacy are in town of Selsingen (3 km from the farm). There are maps that offer about 30 bike and hiking tours of the area. Canoeing is possible on the nearby river Oste. The historic city of Stade (called “The Old Land”); the art galleries in Worpswede and the old town Fisherhude are well worth visiting

 

How to get there:

 

Highway A1, exit Bockel or Sittensen, drive to Zeven, from Zeven on the B71 to Selsingen. In Selsingen turn left to Granstedt. After 3 km the main road bends to the left. In this bend turn right into the “Hempstrasse”
